Our products

Large and varied range of fresh mushrooms (indigenous and exotic), white and black truffles, fresh specialities (incl. seasonal), and derivative products such as oil and mushroom crisps. Italian deli brand Tesori del Matese also chose Mushroom City as exclusive distributer for its treasured truffle products.

Always fresh and stored in perfect conditions, we transport our products in six refrigerated vans and have the right machinery to peel, cut and package them.

We sell our mushrooms whole or cut ready to go in the pan.

Our services

We supply restaurants, grocer’s shops, delis and specialist stores, but also private customers. Our products can be collected from us in Tielt-Winge, but we deliver to our professional clients (in the Belgian provinces of Limburg, Flemish Brabant, Antwerp, Walloon Brabant, Namur and Liège as well as Brussels).

We also have a stall at the weekly markets in Brussels (Eugène Flagey Square in Ixelles) on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm and in Leuven (at Heverlee market) on Sundays from 8 am to 1 pm.

Customers and associations can ask us to organise a tasting session or provide an info stand at events. After all, we love nothing better than promoting our products and making them accessible to the wider public!

We always keep close tabs on what is on offer worldwide, as that way we can provide our customers with original and surprising things on a regular basis. Though apart from that, people often ask us whether we have something new or exciting. A question that nearly always gets ‘yes’ for an answer!

Mission & Vision

We offer indigenous and exotic mushrooms, white and black truffles, seasonal produce like asparagus, chicory, strawberries, tomatoes from Stoffels Tomato Nursery, olive oil and much more. Because we know our products and their producers through and through, we can provide all our customers with the best possible quality available worldwide.

We are not only there to sell, however, we are also happy to give advice about our mushrooms. Because our staff know a considerable number of them, from your bog standard button mushroom, over oyster and shiitake mushrooms to porcelain mushrooms. This means we are always able to recommend the right mushroom for every menu and dish, throwing in some tips about all the scrumptious treats that can be made with them for good measure.

It is our mission, after all, to spread the word about our products and to make them accessible to the wider public.

Notre histoire

Luc Wolfs a fondé Mushroom City en 1987. Il proposait alors quelques champignons de Paris et pleurotes sur une simple étale.

Les champignons des bois se faisaient parfois désirer ou la récolte était mauvaise en raison de conditions météorologiques contraires. D’autres produits ont donc été rapidement ajoutés à la gamme pour combler les périodes plus creuses. L’entreprise a ainsi proposé des asperges, des endives et des fruits rouges au printemps et en été.

Au fil des ans, nous avons acquis de solides connaissances et de l’expérience et nous avons élargi notre gamme. Nous avons toujours su concilier demande et offre grâce à de nouvelles sortes de champignons originaires du monde entier, des truffes, davantage de fruits et légumes, d’autres produits de saison, des spécialités, des produits fins et des produits dérivés tels que de l’huile de truffe et d'olive.

Mushroom City élargit sans cesse sa gamme et améliore son service en permanence. Nous proposons actuellement des dizaines de sortes de champignons et d’autres produits frais.

Une deuxième génération est aujourd'hui impliquée dans l’entreprise familiale: Kim Wolfs et Jan Mercken, la fille et le gendre de notre fondateur poursuivent sa mission afin d’étendre la notoriété des produits de qualité de Mushroom City et de les proposer à un maximum de consommateurs.
